6.  Tuition is paid by the term.  Term tuition is due within 15 days of receiving an invoice.

  7.  There is no carrying charge if payments are made by the fifteenth day after receiving an invoice from the school.  If the current unpaid balance is not paid before the last day of the term, a $25.00 late charge will be added.  After 30 days, one percent of the current unpaid balance will be added each month until the entire amount is paid in full.  All costs for a term must be paid prior to the student beginning a subsequent term.

  8.  It is understood that any student requesting exemption from a course(s) will be given an exemption test(s).  See catalog for exemption test policies.  The cost is $25.00 per test given. 

  9.  It is understood and agreed that the School will not (A) award a Diploma, an Associate in Specialized Business Degree, an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree, or a Certificate, (B) issue a transcript until all current tuition and fees and other costs have been paid in full.

  10.  If the Student is to be sponsored by an agency, Student understands that if agency sponsorship does not come through or is canceled at any time during training, he/she is responsible for the tuition, books and fees involved in his/her training.

  11.  Should the Student drop or add courses, change program, terminate or withdraw from school, or have questions or concerns about the school, the policies and procedures listed on page 2 of this enrollment agreement shall apply.

  12.  Placement assistance shall be provided to the Student as described in the School catalog.  South Hills School of Business & Technology cannot guarantee employment to students nor a minimum starting salary.

  13.  If a tuition and/or program fee increase is necessary during the period of enrollment, the School reserves the right to make this raise effective to all enrolled students.  All tuition and program fee changes will be announced in writing 60 days prior to the effective change.

  14.  It is understood that if a student’s (parent’s or guardian’s) check is returned to the school for insufficient funds, it will be reprocessed once and a service charge equal to the fee charged by the bank will be added.  If said check is returned a second time, student (parent or guardian) must pay in cash, with a money order, or credit card.

  15.  The school reserves the right to cancel and reschedule the start date of a program if the number of students enrolling is insufficient.  The school also reserves the right to terminate a program prior to its start date if enrollment is insufficient. The maximum time for the delay of a program start due to insufficient enrollment is one year.  Such a cancelation/termination will be considered a cancelation of this enrollment agreement. 

  16.  The student reserves the right to cancel prior to the start date of the program by notifying the Admissions Department.

  17. It is understood that South Hills may release personally identifiable information about the School's graduates to Collegiate Admissions and Retention Solutions (500 Century Park South, Ste. 100, Birmingham, AL) for placement verification only.  Any use and maintenance of personally identifiable information provided to CARS by the School shall remain under the control of the School.  CARS shall not disclose any personally identifiable information about the School's graduates except as required to perform verification.  None of the personally identifiable information provided to CARS by the School shall include information about students' funds and financial accounts or other education records

 

I/We acknowledge that I/we have received and read a copy of the School's current catalog and understand and agree to the School's policies therewith.  I/We further acknowledge that I/we have read and received a copy of this enrollment agreement.
